Description:
The Afghanistan and Asian Community Organisation is holding New Year’s Celebration on Saturday 21st March 2009. This will be a unique event to celebrate our culture, history and contribution to the richness of life in the UK.
There will be live music, poetry readings, drama performances, slide shows, community stalls and many more exciting activities in which to participate.
For those who don’t already know us we provide support the Afghanistan, Central Asian and the wider Community with advice, ESOL and Business training, Supplementary Schools at weekends, Women’s Groups, Community Events and a Quarterly Magazine.
For example last year we helped around 400 people to get a step up in their lives!
We are also giving an opportunity for community organisations to take part in this event by having a stall and discussing their activities and services with participants. If you are a community organisation and wish to have a stall or a small exhibition, please reply by 20th February. We will be sending out a detailed agenda soon after that.
If anyone from your communities wish to perform or display anything on the stage including music, drama or instruments, please get in contact with us as soon as possible.
